On 01/01/2025, at the initiative of the Department of Environment, Moulvibazar District Office, about 10.88 kg of banned polythene was seized and a fine of about 8,000 taka was collected during the operation of a mobile court against banned polythene in 3 shops located in the Chaumuhani area of Kulaura Road, Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila. The mobile court was conducted by Mr. Antara Sarkar Adri, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner's Office, Moulvibazar and the prosecution was provided by Mr. Md. Reazul Islam, Inspector of this department.
